Living Without a Safety Net
The inspiring story of evangelist Tim Grant with miraculous accounts of salvation, healing and provision
Tim’s new book is packed with remarkable accounts of healings, miracles and salvation, it tells how Tim encountered Jesus in his early life and how he began to walk by faith and bring Christ’s love to countless lives. In each of Tim’s stories there is a pearl of wisdom to be found – a lesson he learned about the walk of faith, often with far-reaching effects. As you read these testimonies you will find yourself hungry to see God move in the same way in your own family, neighbourhood and church; you will be challenged to simply step out, trust and obey.
It’s receiving great reviews.
“This book tells the story of what can happen to us all if we will simply follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Tim has done this. follow him through the triumphs and valleys that he has traversed to know Him who is invisible. A must read to stir up your faith in these end times.”

I know perhaps of few who could write a book entitled ‘Living Without a Safety Net’ but I have a very strong belief that there will be many more living that way as a result of reading this book. I am humbled as I read it, challenged to an upgrade in my desire to trust and obey.”

This is a great account of Tim’s life and ministry. It inspires all of us to remain loyal and faithfull to the calling of God. This Tim has done (and continues to do) over all these years. Knowing Tim as I do I am sure there will be much more to be written in the coming years.”

Foreword By Paul Manwaring
I remember the first time that I heard of Tim Grant. It was at a regional gathering of leaders and, as is common, my wife had been chatting to various people. At one point she came excitedly to tell me of this man that she had met. He had been saying how blessed he was to be connected to us and to Bethel Church and how wonderful and encouraging the testimonies which he had heard coming from us were. Modestly he was saying that his stories didn’t match up but as he told my wife some of his stories she assured him that his were some of the most amazing she had ever heard. I am delighted that they are now in a book and we can all be blessed and encouraged by this humble yet powerful man.
Reading through this manuscript I was delighted to see the inclusion of the story of the sheets. It is my favourite testimony of being obedient to the still, small voice of God and the rewards of a life of obedience. I will not spoil it by retelling it in this foreword but suffice it to say that it is the very essence of this man and this book. He was not the only one to hear God say the same thing but he was the one who obeyed.
This obedience is evident as a lifestyle as I read the story of Tim spitting on his thumbs and rubbing the eyes of a lady with tunnel vision. O my, who does that! Tim gives us the answer: men with no safety net who hear and obey.
Who, too, still buys tents that seat thousands and drives them across Europe to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom? Obedient men who have a history of hearing, risking, trusting and obeying, whether it be small or large, easy or difficult. Tim teaches us again.
I know perhaps of a few who could write a book entitled ‘Living Without a Safety Net’ but I have a very strong belief that there will be many more living that way as a result of reading this book.
I am humbled as I read it, challenged to an upgrade in my desire to trust and obey. Yes, the simple words of that old hymn have stood the test of time and are given a new lease of life in this beautifully written book.
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
It is a book which leaves me with the title of Francis A. Schaeffer’s book ringing in my ears: ‘How should we then live?’ Tim has showed us the way, the challenge is clear, listen and obey.
This book is not one of ideas, it is a life lived with one thing in mind and that is to do what Jesus told us and the Holy Spirit continues to tell us. We need no other safety net than Jesus.
